The newsletter MCP server

Connect ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor or any MCP client to MailCheap. Your agent writes and schedules issues, sends them once you say yes, imports your list and reads the stats, with the dashboard's checks and limits. On every plan.

How did last week's issue do? Then write this week's from my notes and schedule it for Tuesday, 9am.

01 · Tools

80 tools: everything the dashboard does

One tool per action, with the same inputs, checks and errors as the dashboard and the REST API. Each one's inputs and outputs are in the API reference.

In red, the tools that can't be undone.

02 · Connect

Sign in from your chat app, or use an API key

Each app's steps are in the MCP setup guide.

Sign in, no key to copy

Add https://mailcheap.ai/mcp as a custom connector, sign in to MailCheap and click Allow. You can revoke the app on the API keys page anytime.

  • Claude Code
  • Codex
  • Cursor

With an API key

Coding agents use a full access key from the API keys page, kept in an environment variable.

Claude Code
claude mcp add --transport http --scope user mailcheap https://mailcheap.ai/mcp \
  --header "Authorization: Bearer $MAILCHEAP_API_KEY"

03 · Sending

Your agent asks before it sends

Sends can't be undone, so the tools that send are marked that way, and their descriptions ask your agent to check with you first. Test emails only go to you.
